Paintings and prints by Arnold Alaniz are easily recognizable for their careful composition, rich rainbow hues and fine detail. His style resembles realism as seen through the softened focus of impressionism. His works create new visions of a serene, tranquil retreat and frequently evoke forgotten memories of special places and things.
Much of Alaniz' inspiration comes from the natural world around him, especially the vistas, fields and gardens of his summer residence in Door County, Wisconsin, where he maintains a gallery and studio. In winter, California and the Southwest become his inspiration.
